We offer an appreciable quantity of Lightly Calcined Magnesite, which has broad steel industrial applications. Our Magnesite is produced by sintering raw Magnesite Shaft Kiln at a controlled temperature of 1100 degree centigrade and by furnace oil. As a reliable Manufacturer, Exporter and Supplier, we make available our Magnesite at highly affordable prices. We welcome queries for bulk orders from all over India and overseas.
Magnesite (MgCO3) is a carbonate of magnesium. It is usually found as irregular veins in serpentine and formed by replacement of dolomite and limestone. Calcium and silica are, therefore, the most common impurities observed in magnesite along with Fe2O3 and Al2O3. It is a very important mineral for the manufacture of basic refractories, which are largely used in the steel industry. In commerce, the term 'magnesite' refers not only to the mineral, but also to many products, obtained by calcining the natural carbonate; e.g., caustic magnesite (magnesia obtained by calcining crude magnesite at comparatively low temperatures, 700 to 1000oC, and retaining 2 to 7% CO2 as carbonate) and dead-burnt or refractory magnesite (magnesia obtained by calcining magnesite at high temperatures, 1500 to 1800oC, usually containing less than 0.5% CO2). Pure magnesite calcined at still higher temperatures (1600 - 18000 C) to expel carbon dioxide completely is termed as 'periclase' (MgO) in the trade.
